At the crossroads of Rauthauvyr's road and Moonsea Ride, towers a massive
granite stone, erected in the year of Dalereckoning by human and elven mages
to seal an agreement between the two races to live in peace and harmony in
Cormanthor and the Dales. The words of the Compact are set in the stone for
all to see. When Rauthauvyr's Road was forced to go through the forest by
threat of arms from Sembia, the elves made sure the road ran directly past
the stone, as a reminder that not all things had to be settled at the edge of
a sword.
