I would suggest putting a list of all of the commands that can be used in game under categories (ie: help, then with the list of all of the sub categories for help) in the online guide. I know as a newbie to playing a mud it would be very very helpful to know which commands to use. I am not a newbie to the forgotten realms, nor the rules system. I have played many of the desktop versions put out based on d&d so that is not an issue. If I have missed this list somewhere please please please someone pm, im, or email me or please please please reply and tell me where I missed it. From a new mud user stand point its frustrating not to be able to interact the way it should be done because you dont know which command to use. Thanks.

It is difficult at first, I agree. I came to this MUD from another, and while similar the syntax is all very different, and I had some difficulty transitioning. The player base and staff are really supportive and helpful in this game, so if you are ever stuck, a little note on ASK channel will generally set you right. I have yet to have a staff member talk down to me, which is something I cant say about any other MUD I have played.

HELP (your character can also use the adventurers guide that is supplied in the newbie start to get to this menu) does break down the help system into categories, which are further broken up into smaller sections. Sometimes its hard to find the category that will lead to the topic you need though. Also the Help command with a basic term you want help with will find a lot of your answers.

Edit: If you are looking for a big list of basic commands... "COMMANDS" is the command you are looking for.

There is currently a wiki/pdf team building a newbie help file that should help with this.

Thak you
