Bulk Buy

I know that you can already purchase things in mass quantities from certain merchants.

Could we apply this to the wood/feather merchants that require you to give them an exact amount? Instead of give the same merchant 5 copper 1,000 times?

Nope. That's not really possible.

How would the merchant guess that you want 5 pieces of wood each costing 1 copper and not 1 piece of wood costing 5 copper?

Well Dalvyn if you really wanted to spend the time and felt that there was a need.. You could use a say prog that worked off of certain key words like a number and color. So If a char says I want 10 red wood. The prog would hear 5 and red and know to use mptakecash. This way its not based on how much coin is given to the mob with a bribe prog. Set it so bulks lots of say 5, 10 and 15. What would be better and/or easier is if anyone has an area with a woodsman coming in and have it applied there.

All else fails I'd be happy to write the program if you are (and you usually always are) busy.

You would not need one program, but one for each quantity; then one for each type of goods. And since there are no loops, you would have to use plenty of if checks to know how many objects to load and rename. And since there is no way to multiply the quantity by the individual price, you would have to come up with some trick that would use quest bits to do this computation, or you would have to have more if-checks.

If you think I am wrong, feel free to try and come up with the program though :).

I, for one, think that the effort is not worth it, because, in the end, I do not see any trouble with spamming the mob with 'give 5 copper (mobile)', especially now that you can change coins at no fee.
