Error retrieving help: MySQL server has gone away

Game is having the MySQL error again.
Auth command isn't working correctly. Two player council members tried and were unable to auth a name.
'Auth yes' and 'auth all' both yielded no response from the mud despite the auth command alone giving the normal response.
