Book two is written in common!!! Book one in an unknown language, although comprehensible.

Same as for the second book of guide to the surface, it's in common and therefore not easy to read for a drow, i.e. the intended reader.

There is a translator mob in Menzo who will convert such books to account for tomes in common.
