Do you think you can convince players to create drow to play with you? I generally don’t make new characters myself but if you could organize a like minded group of players with similar time availability to play drow with you, you could probably solve the issue of population.

I can state with certainty that there are more drow and half drow now on the mud than before the ecl change was implimented. Originally this was discussed when the new account system was coming in to the mud, but was dismissed as really difficult to hardcode. I don't know if a softcode solution has become possible in the last ten years or so though.

Maybe change the wards to allow cure light spells for healing characters about to die otherwise? That way we can at least save them in the ms.

Personally, I'll really miss Areia in the market, but if that's how you feel then there is nothing I can do about it.

Before you had the limited or no casting you had times where characters would renew spells that they did not need to have on themselves in the market square as opposed to dipping out and back in. The easiest response I could think of is making those characters that are guilded and coded necromancers immune to the change or giving them a slight boost in spell skill over other classes. The illithids seem like potential abuse, what other races are potentially abused? Raising the levels of these mobiles (making them too powerful to raise) to better match the threat posed by such races seems the easiest solution. Definitely worth it to remove ilithid then and let those raising undead for group pk and solo levelling (or similar abused mobiles etc.) have to come up with new strategies based on SRD info in my opinion over raising costs of the component. As far as I can tell it would be any race with similar resistances at the same level of the ilithids in question, but I would endeavour to say that the reason they are signalled out would be the location they are in versus similar monsters in other places.

I'd like to see the cost of creating more powerful undead be reflected in components. If a zombie minion maintains resistances and attacks that that the base monster race had in life then the component cost should be on par with the cost of other expensive components or the components should be cons...
