Re: Character Ideas we'll never get around to

She could still be decent i think. A high dex / str / wisdom build, with the priest's spell list and a couple of magical items to sure up her AC. I'm not sure what restrictions on spells a Shujen has though. Could she not use shield of faith plus shield / armor potions and then either a high dex to ...

Re: Illusionary Pit vs Mass Hold Person

I'm not entirely sure that its really that difficult. to fix. As far as I've read, been told and observed, there are tools to apply custom effects to PCs, but there is no stock prone condition though so stunned was used in place for things like the pit and earth reaver. What earth reaver really shou...

Re: Elminster Open Discussion

In my oppinion there is o such thing as a dirty spell. If its broken enough and has been reported multiple times as all spells apart from disintegrate in this thread mentioned so far have been. And the Staff are still allowing us to use them, I'm inclined to simply say tough luck. The FK versions of...

Re: Halls of Justice Entry

I think this will be addressed once the rebuild of the halls is done. I read or was told somewhere that there will be a general area that everyone has access to, ditto paladins, and an inner sanctum just for Tyrrans. Or at least I got the jist that it will be somewhat segregated as currenty the hall...

Re: The Elminster Open

Indeed, could we get a list of participants and a list of approved Witnesses/ the first enough is easy to do but I wasn't sure if there was a general go ahead for Myself and Raelikh to both compete and witness.

Re: Familiars and Quality of Life

In table top, I find that they originally were just one more weakness other than the spell pouch that you kind of had to guard against. Their minor bonuses to a skill here or there werent' really attractive enough for me to want to deal with them. Plus It was unclear why a wizard was forced to have ...

Re: Familiars and Quality of Life

I was never really fond of familiars myself. Unless there is goign to be a more intuitive way of handling them here I'd rather avoid the managing of them.

If a different PC of the same player is allowed, Mers would be happy to witness

Re: Melindra in Hartsvale and default NPC behavior

As I understand it, it would have to be code implemented on the Mob rather than the item. And this isn't an instance of blaming the victim but the majority of these kinds of quests have specific instruction on the qlog. To be fair to you its been literal years since I did this one on any of my chars...

Re: Connecting to the Game

As of right now I can't connect,

Heavy lag seems to be the reason as I'm not recieving any errors client side and when I try and reconnect it behaves as if its connecitng to the server

Re: Market wards

I'd just like to point out how ridiculous the continued accusation that people who disagree just "aren't being IC enough" is. I personally don't think it's particularly un-IC to ignore a town crier's regularly delivered messages, and it doesn't do anything constructive when 80% of your posts are fu...
