Celebrate!

My friends and colleagues, it is time for us to do something of importance! Something that shows courage, and and spine! Something that will test the limits of our mettle, that we might over come it. Okay, I think she's gone. It has come to my attention that Mele is incapable of reading italics. So...

Re: Casual Events!

Time for some -adventure-. Recently, I fatally discovered some very dangerous ruins, and not one to take a beating lying down, I'd like to come back with my dad to beat them up. Since I haven't got one of those, my friends'll do in a pinch. We'll gather at the Waterdeep market center for convenienc...

Re: Calling of the Stars

To all Selunites , As you may or may not have noticed, recently - In accordance with what was discussed at the meeting discussed in the attached notice - ALL members of senior clergy have, pending review, been retired in that capacity and are, for all intents and purposes, Acolytes as the youngest ...

Gods

I recently stumbled across a YouTube channel with a tooon of videos exploring different aspects of the Realms. Of particular interest to me was the series on the Pantheon, explaining in a few minutes a great deal of information about the gods, their worshipers, and their place in the Realm: https://...

Re: Casual Events!

Honestly, adventuring - as fun as it is - can be just so stressful! How about getting together just to hang out and play some meaningless games? At the Dripping Dagger in Waterdeep, so it's convenient. I don't mean the gambling kind, so the tightest of arses out there can rest easy and come on out ...

Re: Talos Says New Thread Discussion

You're both right. Evocation sucks really hard, and that's not a problem. Yes the 2.5x HP scaling favours fighters as they had the larger hit die to begin with. No it doesn't mean it's not your fault for dying to these scrubs, you have tons of other options besides damage. I've never felt disadvanta...

Where the werebear?

What's the worst part about a full moon? Being mauled by the werewolf, of course. To help protect the villages and smaller townships often plagued by evil lycanthropes, the Selunite church is mustering whatever forces we can to put an end to these curse-bitten fiends. On the date posted below, ask ...

Re: Making Wizard Specializations Unique

Nobody said the impetus to make a uniquely flavoured character wasn't on the player in question. Mechanically though, it's a mistake to choose a specialisation rather than a mage.

Re: Funny moments!

What happens when two very lucky people try to play dice with eachother? Summer says 'Pick your number.' You exclaim 'Six!' Summer says 'And I pick... seven.' Summer says to you 'Make your bet and roll the dice.' You drop 5 copper coins. Celric nods to Summer, 'Dice?'. Summer gives you a pouch of di...

Re: The Thieving Game

So I get it -- the people who lost their roses feel cheated because they would have liked an opportunity to keep their rose.
Yea, no, you completely missed the whole point. :/

Re: The Thieving Game

Sure - or you can admit you're just a friend with the player in question, alerted him to the fact that someone with a rose entered the square -as he very conveniently logged on just for that purpose - and thereby deliberately helped him cheese a competition that was never actually a competition to b...

Re: The Thieving Game

I didn't miss your point, and I already told you how I would do things different. If you'd rather sit here and explain how you saw something in a movie once or there was a magician that existed, rather than addressing what I actually posted, I'm not sure what good another detailed post would do here...

Re: The Thieving Game

I'm not sure what you mean. They can't possibly add more details to the smote, because the smote didn't exist in these multiple scenarios. 10 x 0 = 0. Conflating this with "but you don't expect a fighter to pose every swing of their sword" is intentionally dishonest, and to be kind I'll remove this ...

Re: The Thieving Game

1) This event came with a HUGE OOC warning that people would try to steal, take, manhandle, whatever the rose that's in your possession. So I don't think any of the thieves should have given an OOC heads up for their actions. One of the issues that I have with OOC warnings are when thieves are tryi...
